The food was outstanding, and big credit to the kitchen team, who clearly know their stuff. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were incredibly friendly. What stayed with me most was how warmly we were welcomed. From the minute we arrived, it felt more like being at home than staying in a hotel. A fantastic place. We'd love to come back.

After more than eight years, it felt wonderful to eat at the Gasthof zur Post again. The decor is still just as I remember it, and everything was clean. The food was delicious, and the prices are really good these days. One thing to know: ring the bell, or you won't get in. I'd love to return, like in the old days.

We'd reserved for Sunday lunchtime, but the food took an hour to arrive and the drinks were very slow too. My meals weren't actually hot. The garlic soup tasted like milk with bread soaked in garlic, and the advertised daily special, “the Post Office Meatball,” had already sold out. The filled dumplings we had instead were okay, but not the sort of meal that makes a Sunday feel special. Really disappointing.
