Reiterhof Gründeich

The stable was a big part of what we expected from this stay, but the experience felt mostly like an average holiday apartment. We got a PIN for the apartment next to the main stable when we arrived, with no personal welcome, and had little contact with the riding stable after that. When we asked about activities for the children, we were sent to the riding instructor, whose lessons were average-priced. There was only one appointment offered, and we happened to get it by chance. The apartment itself was okay, though two of the four bedside lamps didn’t work, some pleated blinds were broken or missing, and there was an old tissue on the beds. The basics were there, but the highchair legs no longer locked, so it was only partly safe for children. We also learned in an email shortly before our visit that the owner or landlord had recently changed. The new operator is a large agency, apparently rather than the riding stable itself. We can’t agree with the many positive reviews. Sadly, this didn’t match our idea of a riding stable.

We were really disappointed that the riding stable was fully booked, since riding lessons for our children were the reason we came. They weren’t even given the chance to pet the horses or go into the stables to see them. The apartment itself was quite nice, but we left very disappointed with the stable.

Melanie and Peter really make the place, always willing to lend a hand. The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished, and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

My Cara was looked after so well again, and the week just flew by. Thanks to Eva's team and the Gründeich riding stable.
