The open air parking was about 80 meters from the hotel, so you’d want an umbrella if it rains. Our visit also had a payment hiccup: their card system was down and would take a while to come back, so we had to withdraw cash at a nearby ATM. The setting is quiet and pleasant, with Hopfensee and its lakeside restaurants nearby. It’s also fairly close to Neuschwanstein and Zugspitze.

I had a comfortable, clean suite on the first floor, and breakfast was great. In the evening, they even lent me an umbrella for my stroll into town. It’s a very quiet, historic castle in the countryside, close to Amsee and not far from Munchen. Recommended!

The rooms are large and comfortable, and the staff are kind and welcoming. I loved the ancient atmosphere and the restaurant. It’s not far from Neuschwanstein Castle and has good transport connections. A great spot for a romantic stay, strongly recommended.

The staff were really good, but I was very disappointed. This didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel, maybe 2 star. There was no minibar or tea making facilities, and the amenities were poor for that rating. Reception was very poor too. Breakfast was very limited, with just one waiter working the service during all three days we were there. There was no gym or hot tub, despite those being advertised.

The room was a little small, but for a couple staying one night it felt cozy. The setting is lovely, the staff are fantastic, and it was great value. I’d stay there again.
