The hostess was so warm that the small issues hardly mattered, and we'd gladly come back. The estate itself is lovely, with classic furnishings and carefully chosen decorations that make it a pleasant place to spend time. The rooms work fine, though their furniture and carpets have a 1970s feel. The sauna area was bright and very clean, and the terrace relaxation spot was wonderful in the sunshine. The lounger in the relaxation room could use an update.

Our wedding celebration went really well, but the cost was far too high. Food we'd paid for was taken away after two hours while we were still eating, even though we were entitled to take it with us. That was outrageous. They also collected wine bottles partway through, including some that were still full while people were still drinking, and charged us the full price anyway. I wouldn't recommend celebrating there.

We had a wonderful short break, and our dog finally got through New Year's Eve without fireworks noise for the first time in seven years. The hotel arranged things so none could be heard all evening, and the human guests enjoyed themselves too. I can't relate to the complaints about the rooms in earlier reviews. We had a double room in the manor house with a terrace facing the forest. The furniture wasn't new, but it was spacious, clean, well kept, and all in working order. There was a TV, telephone, and hairdryer. The bathroom was spotless, including the bathtub with its whirlpool function, and there wasn't any limescale. The property is in excellent condition and has a fantastic location. The owner was friendly, helpful, and liked chatting with guests. The dog rules were easy to follow and helped keep the stay peaceful. Dog owners and other guests got along well, and I didn't get the impression anyone was bothered. There are great hiking options nearby, along with sightseeing spots and various thermal baths within easy reach. The owner handles the cooking herself, and the food was truly exceptional. We're vegetarians, which was no problem at all, and we left every meal satisfied. There are board games in the lobby. I didn't use the small spa area, but I've heard good things about it. We're fairly discerning, and I can't confirm the negative reviews. I'm looking forward to coming back.

We went to a wedding reception at this lovely, slightly secluded estate. The weather was beautiful, so the party was held in the spacious garden and outside a barn under a covered porch, which would have offered shelter if it had rained. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the buffet and grilled food were delicious and plentiful. It's well suited to celebrations. I can't say whether it offers good value for money.
