We arrived without a reservation, but were seated comfortably and served by a friendly local. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the English menu came with suggestions about which dishes to try. With five of us, we got to sample quite a few things. The traditional schnitzel with pan fried potatoes was delicious. Beef cheeks with leeks and mashed potatoes were tender and juicy, and the chicken burger was a generous portion with crispy potatoes. We tried desserts too, and there’s also a salad bar with fresh local items. We had a delightful meal and will definitely come back.

We were completely happy here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, and the food was great from breakfast through dinner. A funny bonus, I’d forgotten my travel bible and found a copy of the new testament in our room. Much appreciated! 🙏🥰✨👍

It’s been years since I visited, but I still remember how clean, warm, and welcoming the place felt. Dinner was excellent, with good steak and a nice range of wine, and breakfast was top notch. The staff were helpful and professional too. I’m looking forward to going back soon. If you’re nearby, give it a try. My only worry is that it’s getting more popular and rooms may be harder to get!

We didn’t expect the hotel to be so busy in early November, though I suppose the castles make this a very touristy area. Our room had beautiful mountain views and we slept comfortably. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful.
