Gasthaus Krone

The beer garden has such a lovely feel to it, and you can really relax here. Our food came out quickly and tasted fantastic. The service was great.

The wild boar steak was a highlight for me, beautifully presented, cooked just right, and full of flavor. You can tell they care about good ingredients and careful preparation. The Franconian specialties on the menu lived up to their promise, and the attentive staff kept our large film crew well looked after. We stayed at Gasthaus Krone while working on a film shoot. Its central spot in Wiesentheid was convenient, and the restaurant is stylish and welcoming. The big beer garden was especially nice in good weather, for a break or an evening with the crew. The bill was lower than we expected for such high-quality food and thorough service in Lower Franconia. The value felt absolutely right.

We had dinner at the restaurant on Friday, and the meal was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly, and it was clear a professional was in the kitchen. Service was quick and friendly, so we'd happily recommend eating here. We stayed at Gasthaus Krone for a wedding in Wiesentheid last weekend. The hotel feels a little dated, but it was clean and very tidy, and the rooms were perfectly adequate.

We can't speak to the hotel rooms since we live in town. We do love the cuisine, though, and the service is great. The food can be traditional Franconian or a bit more adventurous, and it's always presented beautifully.
