We had a great time here. The owner is such a sweet lady, very welcoming and caring. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with fresh orange juice, croissants, coffee and lots of other food. The room was spacious, bright and clean, and the central location made it easy to explore the city. A beautiful, cozy hotel, highly recommended.

Katrin made our four nights there with my two teens, aged 15 and 17, feel magical. She welcomed us with a map and suggestions for places to visit and things to do, then made an amazing breakfast each morning before we headed out. The Layhead B&B is such a peaceful place. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Thank you, Katrin, for all the kindness, ideas and beauty you’ve shared with us and the world. The places you suggested will stay in our hearts forever.

We were there for a whole week with two kids, taking day trips to the coast. We needed to make sandwiches for them, sometimes they were too tired after showering to go out for dinner and wanted to eat in, and we also had some work to do on weekdays. Maybe an apartment would’ve made more sense, but Kathrin, the owner, adapted to all of it and made us feel welcome all week. She handled our different travel needs with such flexibility in an elegant, quiet and carefully decorated hotel. The rooms, service and location have been covered in other comments. Kathrin and her husband, who designed and built the place, are passionate professionals.

Suite no. 5 was spacious, with a separate bedroom and living area, an extra sleeping setup for three, and a separate toilet and shower. The location is close to everything but tucked away from the busy streets. We loved the clean, quiet rooms and homely design, plus a healthy breakfast that was served until 11. The host was friendly and helpful, and checkout at 12 was very handy. Highly recommended, we’ll be back!

Our room faced the street, so with the windows open we could hear passing cars and church bells. There are also rooms facing the backyard. The bed was very comfortable, with two cushion choices and a good mattress, and the bathroom had a spacious walk-in shower. The new house picks up historic features from the building that originally stood there. Inside, the B&B is modern and understated, with flow concrete in the bathroom and reserved design touches. I especially liked the hanging gardens in the lobby and breakfast area. During our stay they were still finishing details, like adding a sound system in the breakfast area and tending to the garden.
