Apartment 5, facing the Trave River, was spacious, clean, and laid out in a practical way. The location and view were excellent, and the price felt well worth it. The room is a little dated, especially the bathroom fixtures, and the windows let in a slight draft. That wasn’t an issue for us, though the windows might feel cold in winter. I’d definitely book it again.

The room was huge and centrally located, looking out over the Trave River and the salt warehouse. It’s a simple place without luxury, and the condition is somewhat run down. There was a water heater, and cleanliness could’ve been better, with cobwebs and such. Still, we wouldn’t put anyone off visiting, and there was space for three more people.

It was just about okay for a short overnight stay, but Apartment 4 needs a lot of renovation and didn’t look like the pictures. Furniture was badly damaged, the table was practically falling apart, the shower head holder was missing, and there was visible water damage on the ceiling. The windows didn’t seal properly, so there was considerable noise. We found food stuck to the dish towel, no dish sponge, and stains on the washed bed linens and towels, especially under the sheets. The rooms aren’t cleaned during a stay, which would be acceptable if basic things like a broom and cloths were provided. After a long wait on the phone, we finally reached someone and got a few sponges.

We’d book again. The Obertrave apartment building sits right on the Trave River, with restaurants on the doorstep and the boat tour leaving just outside. The city center and train station are easy to reach on foot. Once we’d arranged a phone call, a very friendly staff member handed over the key without any hassle. The apartment was clean and practical, with a TV, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and kitchen. Thank you very much. The interior could use a little more care and warmth. The dated bathroom had no towel hooks and hardly any counter space, while the kitchen was rather sparse. An extra towel, some tea or coffee, a few spices, and a paper towel would’ve been welcome.
