I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels over the years, but I’ve never felt as comfortable as I did here. They really treat you like a guest in the best sense, and I’ll be coming back regularly. The owner is passionate, attentive, and extremely friendly, and the rest of the staff are lovely too. I got such a warm welcome that I felt at home right away, and my dog was welcome as well. The country hotel is charming and peaceful, with parking right there. My room was individually furnished and spotless. Breakfast was generous and beautifully arranged, with little packaging in keeping with their sustainability efforts. They even brought a colorful egg from their own happy hens to the table. Questions and requests get a quick, helpful response. I also thought the value for money was unbeatable. Highly recommended!

The owner is a friendly, pleasant person who takes an interest in guests and is happy to stop for a personal chat. He also keeps an eye on breakfast, bringing freshly cooked eggs and offering alternatives to coffee. The breakfast spread is small but has something for everyone. Parking is right at the hotel, and the simple room was well maintained and suitably furnished for a hotel with this name. The place is very well organized, with free Wi-Fi available straight away through a QR code. It’s a peaceful spot with a lovely rural feel, and the historic countryside style is very much as the website describes. I spent one night here for a high school reunion, but could easily see it working as a base for a week of hiking in the Wetterau or Vogelsberg. Laubach, Grünberg, and Lich are all within ten kilometers. I’d stay again if I needed to. Best wishes to all nature lovers. Hans Eller

I was in Frankfurt for work and found this small, charming, quaint hotel a very pleasant surprise. The rooms have country-style decor, were very clean, and had comfortable beds. Breakfast was wonderful, and the owner was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The drive to Frankfurt takes 45 minutes, which is easy enough. I’d happily stay here again.

The buffet was beautifully laid out, and they were very friendly when I spontaneously added breakfast for two (non-)guests. I’d definitely stay here myself next time. Thanks for everything.

There’s parking on site, and breakfast is especially good, with freshly cooked eggs, homemade jams, and yogurt. A very nice country hotel.
