In the heart of Idar-Oberstein, this is a lovely family-owned hotel, and the breakfast is the best around. You can walk to plenty of places to eat, and it's an easy drive to historical sites such as Trier, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. My only complaint was the limited number of English-language TV channels.

It's in a nice location and is a great-looking little hotel, but the restaurant service and breakfast were below average. Apart from one woman at reception, no one speaks English. In the shower, the head came off under the water pressure and hit my head. Water spilled everywhere, and I could have been electrocuted. I told the receptionist, and she just said thank you for letting me know.

The place is full of flowers, a joy to look at. The rooms are simple, but have everything important. I arrived late for breakfast and the boiled eggs were gone, so they made more just for me. Such great people. Thanks, I'll come back!

We stayed in room 411. It was a good room, though the view wasn't great, and the shower had plenty of hot water, which isn't something you can always count on in a hotel. The staff were friendly, breakfast was above average, and the cook was excellent. Dinner here some evening, the quality for the price is unbeatable. An excellent hotel.

There's an antique feel to this beautiful hotel, and it was very clean. Everyone on staff was friendly, kind, and respectful. Breakfast was great, and the restaurant served very good food with good service. I'd definitely recommend it.
