Hotel de Charme Zum Schiff

The antique furniture and colorful garden gave the hotel a special feel, and we stumbled across it completely by chance. My friend and I were in Iffezheim for just a day and wanted somewhere to rest. The hosts made us feel very welcome, prepared a generous, lovely breakfast, and chose a room where we could have some quiet. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. It was one of our best unplanned stops, and I'd love to return someday.

We were cycling through the area and got lucky finding this beautiful hotel. The courtyard garden is stunning, and the period features throughout give the place so much character. Our double room was comfortable and charming, with plenty of space for our panniers. There’s a secure bike room in the courtyard with power sockets for charging ebikes. We also liked the well-stocked honesty bar, especially the good value bottle of wine at €12.

Our touring party had booked three rooms for one night, but the hotel wasn't available during check-in hours. They then refused to refund our money. I feel a moral need to warn people, even though I don't usually write reviews. It seemed unethical and greedy to us. Take care.

The room was immaculate, and the bath was wonderful for a cold soak during the heat wave. We stayed three nights for a family wedding and loved this authentic, charming small-town hotel. Its cellar dates back to the 1400s, while other parts are from as late as the 1800s. The hosts were lovely, thank you. Can't recommend it highly enough.
