The Pension is right by the forest, so it’s easy to head out for a nice walk. Breakfast was the usual German fare. The rooms were clean, but very basic and aged. For what you get, I found it a bit pricey.

It was hard to find, so pay close attention to the instructions. The place is nice and clean, with wonderful views. I’d give it 5 stars if they accepted credit cards.

We were completely satisfied and felt very comfortable during our five nights here with friends. The rooms are simply and functionally furnished, and the shower and toilet were good, with everything we needed. The larger rooms also had a sofa, and we slept well in the beds. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, rolls and bread. Thanks, Carl! The guesthouse is ideally placed for trips around the region.

Mr. Schneithorst is an excellent host, and the children were well catered for outside and in the breakfast room. I had a hotel-style room with everything I’d expect from one. There are also fully equipped guesthouses with kitchens and more. The guesthouse is fantastic if you want views of the Thuringian Forest and a scenic place to hike and relax. I’d gladly come back.
