Berggasthof Almagmach

The only bright spot was the English-speaking staff member with blond hair who drove us up the hill. I’ve forgotten his name, but he was very polite and had a great sense of humor. The room, though, left us totally disappointed. It was snowing outside and the temperature inside was very low because the heater didn’t work. Some windows had no curtains, and others weren’t fully covered. Worst of all, there was no WC door between the bedroom and bathroom, just a hanging curtain. Be careful when booking a room. We paid €94.00 for this one.

At first, the shuttle ride up the mountain to this hostel in the middle of nowhere felt a little sketchy, but it turned into an awesome experience. We were heading to Italy, called late at night to book, and arriving at 23:00 was no problem. They sent me a parking spot by WhatsApp and were waiting there with their shuttle bus. The ride up took about 20 minutes. The people were so kind and friendly, and the hostel was really clean. Ask about the wifi. Definitely recommend visiting! 😁👌

There was a nice mountain view from our room, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine. The room was very clean, well equipped, and big enough for three people.

The location was just right, close to Alpsee, and the room was spacious. The host was great, and everything from parking to the hotel went smoothly. We had a great dinner in a warm, cozy place with very authentic food, followed by a well-served breakfast. The main parking is at the bottom of the hill, and the Parkster app makes it easy to book a space online.
