Ms. Schuh was especially lovely, relaxed, and accommodating. Even when we had a small mishap, she handled it with real kindness. We spent a great weekend in the "Alter Stall" holiday apartment with a friend and our four children, aged 2 to 5. There was plenty for the kids to explore, and we grown-ups could relax too. The apartment felt charming, had everything we needed, and made a lovely base for all of us. We’d be glad to return. A warm, family-friendly place with a great atmosphere. We left the apartment before 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve and went home, €100 poorer. We didn’t feel comfortable at all, and we can’t recommend the "Lämmernest". We’d booked one night away from home over New Year's because of our dog. The apartment wasn’t as clean as we’d expected, and it felt very uncomfortable: harsh ceiling lights, little comfortable seating, and an old, tiny TV with tinny, rattling mono sound. The kitchen looked nice at first but was nowhere near equipped for cooking. There was only one pot and one pan, and the few utensils provided were grimy, so we had to wash them before using them. There was no coziness either. No candles or indirect living room lighting, an empty cupboard, uncomfortable chairs, and a table that barely worked as a dining table. Starting around 6 p.m., there was also a lot of banging nearby, so it wasn’t exactly peaceful.

The apartment itself was nicely renovated and had a great view, but some of the furnishings were a poor start: the bathroom mirror light was broken with exposed wires by the sink, there was no smoke detector, the chairs were wobbly and worn, the coffee maker had no lid, and there were no pot holders. We stayed in the Kirchblick apartment for a few nights over New Year's with two families. What bothered us most was that we didn’t feel welcome. We were told to keep the interior doors shut at all times because of noise for the neighbors, and not to ring the landlords’ doorbell, only to call them. The next day, we were told our children, aged 12 and 9, were too loud, even though they were long past the roughhousing stage. Apparently the walls were very thin. On the third day, the common room one floor above us was locked, though its use was advertised and included in the rental agreement. When we left, we were told our children had moved furniture there and caused annoyance, but nobody had said anything to us about it. We weren’t home during the day, only in the mornings and evenings, and apparently even that disturbed them. I can’t recommend this farm to families whose children won’t just sit quietly on the sofa. It’s odd, since they advertise farm holidays for families.

We were a large family in four apartments, and all of them were lovely. We could eat together in the biggest one, and the huge rooftop terrace was a great spot to unwind. The apartments were spacious, very clean, and open, with toys and play equipment available to borrow. The farm has sheep, cows, chickens, and cats, and we even saw lambs that were only four days old. When we wanted to barbecue, the Schuhs kindly provided picnic tables, a grill, and firewood.
