Flemings Hotel

The room was clean, the location is right in the middle of everything, and it had all we needed. But I wasn't happy with the reception when my daughter and I arrived. I used to work at a five-star hotel, and service should include a smile and a welcoming attitude, whatever a guest looks like. I don't think the man at reception, a short guy with black hair, is suited to that job.

The location and affordable price were advantages, but the poor service outweighed them. Some reception staff seemed lazy and were even offensive, and nobody answered my repeated questions about an important check-in detail. That left us waiting much longer to get to our room. The bathroom was also uncomfortable and felt low quality. This was the worst stay of my life. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

Getting around is easy, with the bus and taxi stands right outside the hotel beside Bremen's beautiful main station. Breakfast was great, and there's a friendly hotel bar that stays open quite late, except during the middle of the week.

We've stayed here a couple of times before and usually the front desk service is nice, but this time was absolutely not. My friend had a headache, so I started asking whether a cleaned room was available for an early check-in. Before I could finish, the man in the black suit cut me off, looked at his watch, and said no. I assumed he'd understood. We then went to find the hotel toilet, and he rudely asked what we were doing. When I said we were looking for the bathroom and reminded him I'd just said we wanted to check in, he insisted I hadn't said that and he'd heard exactly what I said. What was going on?
