The staff were flexible when I realized I'd booked the wrong date, and they changed our reservation. We were also traveling with our dogs, and they put us on the ground floor, which helped a lot. There was plenty of green space for dog walks. We were heading from Northern Europe to Switzerland, and the hotel was a great stop, just a two-minute drive from the highway. Reception was closed when we arrived, but the self-check-in instructions were detailed. The room was clean and quiet. It was warm because of the hot weather, but we could open the window, and we didn't hear the busy road between the rooms and main building at night. Breakfast was great, including options for a vegan diet, which we really appreciated. Very good value, and we'd definitely come back!

We held our 50th birthday party at the venue and had a really nice time. The food was excellent, and the service was great.

The grounds are lovely, and the rooms have a quaint feel while still providing all the essentials I expect from German guest houses. I was there for only 16 hours, so keep that in mind. The breakfast was delightful and the staff were very friendly. I speak enough German, but whenever I couldn't find a word, they switched to English without a hitch. There was a wedding that day, yet you wouldn't have known from the noise. It would be a privilege to celebrate somewhere like this. This is a historic gem, though young by European standards. I've given many five-star reviews lately, but that's because people sharing detailed experiences helped me make good choices. Places like this set a standard for other accommodations. Looking forward to my next visit.

We attended an A level party ( abiball ) yesterday and thought everything was great. There were over 200 of us, and the hotel made an excellent backdrop for photos. The buffet was excellent, the waiters were very good about checking if we needed anything, and drinks arrived quickly. I'd recommend it for any event.
