We needed a place in Germany that could comfortably host 110 guests, with a separate wedding venue within walking distance. The Berghotel fit beautifully. My husband and I live in the US, but have family in Germany, and we recently celebrated our wedding there. The hotel itself is stunning, and our guests keep saying it’s one of the most beautiful they’ve visited. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, which made the whole weekend feel magical.

The views and location were amazing, and our clean room was just what we expected. There was plenty of choice at meals, all cooked really well, and the staff everywhere were so friendly. We’d definitely come back.

The rooms have been renovated nicely, but most of the hotel still feels old-fashioned, like a typical 1980s place. The staff were friendly, well-trained, and knowledgeable. I wasn’t pleased with the food, though. The kitchen chef could use more training, which is why I’m giving it three stars.

The restaurant food was very nice, and the conference and training rooms worked perfectly. There are lots of spa options and a nice pool, too. The hotel is clean and charming despite not being new, with little touches that make the stay comfortable. Getting up the hill can be difficult in winter, so I’d recommend an all-wheel-drive car.
