The hotel is a little off the beaten path. Booking a room includes free access to the lake swimming area, which is about a five-minute walk away.

We had a great weekend at this family-run guesthouse in the lovely Moos area, about 100 meters from Lake Constance. The rooms are on the small side and a bit dated, though they've been redesigned and upgraded over time. Everything was super clean, the beds were great, and breakfast was generous, even if the same items were served each day. Staff were nice, and most rooms have a balcony. It's a handy base for hiking, biking, boating, or just wandering, with Switzerland and the Germany border region close by. Gaienhofen is nearby too, where you can catch boats to several places around Lake Constance (Untersee). The prices felt a bit high compared with nearby hotels and Airbnbs, and the rooms were small.

We had to cancel our stay at short notice because of illness, so I can't comment on the rooms. The guesthouse was incredibly accommodating and canceled the booking without charging us. Many thanks for that!
