Hotel Stadt Jessen

The bathroom is so cramped that opening either the bathroom door or the shower door makes it hit the toilet. The shower door doesn’t seal properly, so water gets onto the bathroom floor, and late-night showers only had cold water. The bedsheets were stained. There’s no service or bar, just a few warm bottles of beer in a glass cabinet. The whole place badly needs renovation. I left before breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. I was there for one business night and luckily didn’t have to pay myself. If you can, pick another hotel.

Our stay was during a time when the hotel was practically empty, which was a shame because it’s a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were clean and tidy, and breakfast was great, with fruit, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, and everything else you could want.

It’s in the center of Jessen but still quiet, and the rooms are spacious. There’s a TV and a small fridge. Power outlets are limited to three, one by the door and two beneath the desk. Breakfast was very good, and the view was lovely. There’s no bar or restaurant in the hotel, though the town has plenty of options.

The service was excellent, and the price felt right. After we checked in, the manager drove us to the strawberry festival at the Hanke Winery at no charge. We had a wonderful time, thank you! The rooms are functional, clean, and attractive. Breakfast deserves a special mention too, it’s incredibly extensive and had everything we needed.
