We ended up taking lots of bike rides instead of enjoying the lovely garden, since the weather wasn’t great. One route we especially recommend goes from the Lühe ferry to Wedel, then along the Elbe riverbank through Blankenese to Hamburg. We still had a wonderful week in the Boskoop apartment at the holiday farm in May 2026. Mr. and Mrs. Kohl were friendly and always available, and it was no trouble at all for their daughter and granddaughter to visit us for three days for a small extra fee. The apartment is very well equipped, with nothing missing, and the underfloor heating kept it cozy and warm.

We’ll remember this vacation for a long time. Elstar was a lovely place to stay, and the Kohl family were very friendly hosts. We spent a comfortable week there, with parking right outside and safe storage for our bikes. The outdoor space is beautiful, looking out over the apple orchard. York and the Altes Land region make a lovely holiday destination. Many thanks to the Kohl family.

The Cox Orange apartment was nicely furnished, and the kitchen had everything I needed. The owners were very friendly, there was plenty of parking, and I could walk to a supermarket.

Our family felt right at home in the “Rockit” holiday apartment. The hostess was helpful and very friendly, and the place was nicely furnished with everything needed to cook for ourselves.

We’d definitely book here again. The grounds have plenty of nice spots to unwind, parking is right in front of the apartment, and there’s secure storage for bicycles. We felt very comfortable, thanks in part to the lovely apartment and the friendly hosts.
