The restaurant and café were both closed, and the hotel felt empty, gloomy, and unwelcoming. When we arrived on Thursday at 2:00 PM, the entrance was locked. We had to call and wait quite a while before an employee came to let us in. She seemed rushed, took us to the room quickly, handed over a key, and told us to ALWAYS lock the hotel's entrance door. When we came back around midnight, that door was wide open. We couldn't see or hear anyone, and the place was pitch black. The room and breakfast buffet were okay, but nothing upscale. The owner wouldn't discuss reducing the price. Instead, she texted her employee that we'd already seen the hotel's condition when we arrived, essentially suggesting we could have left. €90 for a double room with breakfast at such an inhospitable place was far too much.

Even with so many guests, the friendly staff handled both the order and service promptly. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and the portions were just right. Eating outside beneath the shade of several cherry trees made for a lovely atmosphere. Hotel Sievers is in the upper-middle price range. I highly recommend the restaurant.
