JUFA Hotel Jülich im Brückenkopf-Park

They don't change the sheets or make the beds. That was still tolerable, but being locked inside at night with no way out was not. We had an early flight and couldn't leave because the doors were locked, so we had to find a back exit through the park. What if that had been closed too? No one mentioned this at check-in. What if there'd been a medical emergency or a fire, with no way for help to get in? There was nobody there at night. We called the call center, but they couldn't reach any of the three emergency contacts. It's irresponsible and dangerous to lock guests in like this. There was no AC either, so we slept with the windows open and bugs from the park came into the room. Save your money. It isn't worth risking your life.

The way management treated us was appalling. When I raised the problems, they offered no solution or apology. They shouted at us, were rude, and even told us to leave. The problems started as soon as we arrived, with shockingly poor service and staff who seemed completely unconcerned about guests. I had chosen the hotel for my daughter's birthday, but what happened made the celebration stressful for me, my guests, and her friends. It was far below what I'd expect for its reputation and price range. The disrespect and lack of care were shocking. I strongly advise against staying here and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7:00, but it wasn't available until 8:00. The worst part was being limited to one sweet roll, split between me and my daughter, even though I'd booked and paid for breakfast for both of us. The bröchen was dry and seemed like leftovers. Staff were rather rude and unmotivating. The room had no kitchenware or phone, and it was very small. Nobody was at reception after the evening, which was disappointing. For 100 euros for just one night, it wasn't worth it. This hotel isn't good enough for Jülich or the research center. Totally disappointed, and I won't return.

It was clean, easy to get to, and had enough breakfast choices. The children enjoyed the place, and the service was friendly and professional. The duvet covers were a little worn, and one bathroom smelled very bad, but they cleaned it and it got better. It's a three-star hotel, and the comfort was enough for our short stay.
