The hotel is right in the city center, and my room was simple but clean and comfortable. I ended up needing a place at the last minute after a mix-up led to my other reservation being cancelled. The friendly receptionist found me the last available room and was so helpful. The staff were lovely in general, even though I don't speak German. I'd happily recommend it.

The reception staff were nice, which is why I'm giving it an extra star. The rooms are clean, but old, tiny, and shabby. There was no AC, so the top floor got like an oven in summer and I couldn't sleep. The WLAN coverage up there was bad too. At 30 Euro a night I'd call it okay for a youth hotel, but at 100 Euro a night I expected much more. I wouldn't come back.

They were quick and informative whenever I had a question through the booking.com app, both before arrival and during my stay. They also gave me a phone number for anything more urgent. I stayed in a self-catering apartment that looked newly refurbished, with a very comfortable bed, an excellent shower, and all the kitchen mod cons and utensils, including a sponge and dish towel. At less than €100 per night for a two-bedroom apartment, it was incredible value. I had a very pleasant stay.
