Haus Seemannstreu

We felt genuinely welcome and well looked after here. The owners are the best part, always around and doing their best to make sure guests are comfortable. The rooms are beautifully furnished, and breakfast is both tasty and generous. At Störtebeker Stuv, the food is all homemade with care, and you can tell. Prices are fair for the island, too. Seemannstreu is all about real hospitality.

The breakfast was a lovely start to the day, served from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. There was plenty to choose from, including rolls, bread, cakes, muesli, fresh juice, coffee, tea, and some organic items. They always asked whether I wanted coffee, which I appreciated. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole house felt cozy and welcoming. Our room was nicely furnished, and we felt at home during our few days at Haus Seemannstreu on Juist in May 2025. Heike Heiken was a lovely host, and the house has a long history you can read about online. We enjoyed the visit so much that we came back in September 2025. The donation menu was a particular highlight: once a month, a meal is made with food donated by local supermarkets and served free to all guests, including people who aren't staying at Haus Seemannstreu. Anyone who wants to can leave a small donation. The last photos show the donated meal. It's an exemplary idea, carried out brilliantly. Thanks so much for the wonderful stays! ❤️

The food is always fantastic, freshly made by Klaus and really tasty 👍. The currywurst and burger are especially good, the best on the island. Prices are reasonable for the island, and the meat comes from a local butcher. Heike sent us excellent information the day before. And congratulations on the referendum! We'll be back next year, that's a fact, not a threat. All the best! 👍

We ate here twice last year, and this time they greeted us with, "You were here last year too!" That recognition was a lovely surprise. The value for money is fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.
