Strandhotel Kurhaus Juist

I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. We were invited to a wedding and chose to stay here for convenience. The wedding began at 13:00, so we called TWICE beforehand to check whether we could get into our room early to get ready. Both times, we were told it wouldn't be an issue. When we arrived, though, we were told the room was still being prepared and we had to wait. There were enough rooms on the property to put us somewhere else. Once we complained and explained that we'd confirmed this in advance, the response was that they needed to find out who had told us, because that person was wrong. There was no apology or attempt to fix the problem, just a search for someone to blame, as though our problem as paying customers didn't matter. With the wedding about to start and no room available, my partner had to shave in the men's room. Staff then complained that he wasn't allowed to do that. We wouldn't have done it if you'd given us the room you promised. The next morning we checked the breakfast times online and went down calmly, thinking we still had 45 minutes. Reception told us breakfast actually ended 30 minutes earlier than the website said. I've never had such a bad hotel experience. Stay away as much as you can!
