Hotel-Restaurant Schwanen

The breakfast was high quality, and the stay was good value. I was there for one night. It’s close to the autobahn, yet quiet at night, and both the room and bathroom were clean. You can check in late if you let them know ahead of time. The only thing I’d improve is the unstable wi-fi.

After our busy days, the quiet area was a welcome place to unwind. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed trying some local dishes. We were a family of five travelling to Italy when our car broke down on Saturday evening, and the hotel was fantastic in the middle of that trouble. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Getting to Stuttgart by bus and train was easy, and we loved visiting the Mercedes Benz museum. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, including fresh pastries and local cheeses. The dining area was bright, and staff made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back next year.

We were in a hurry to leave in the morning and first thought we’d find breakfast elsewhere, but reception made it easy to add breakfast at the restaurant, which saved us time. It was quite good. We’d booked only about two hours before arriving, while on the autobahn, and the confirmations and arrangements went smoothly. The staff were very kind to us and our dog. The hotel parking was full, but someone offered me their own parking spot, which was kind. Our attic room had few neighbors nearby, so the night was quiet and peaceful. It was a bit cold, though, and we used the heater provided in the room. It was a little expensive, though that may be down to booking at the last minute. There also aren’t any parks nearby for walking the dog.

For a one night stop, the village being so tiny and quiet suited us fine. The service was good and the staff friendly. Our room was on the small side, but clean. We had dinner outside, the Curry and creme brulee were good choices. Parking is beside the hotel, with another option a bit farther away. There’s charging for electric vehicles in the hotel parking, though it was extremely slow.
