Fewo Waldesruh

We had a fantastic weekend here. The people were so friendly, and the apartment was great. Having charging stations for our car was especially important to us, and that was fantastic.

The rooms and apartments are in an older building, though the furnishings feel current and practical. There’s nearly everything needed for cooking: an oven, induction hob, coffee machine, toaster, and plenty of dishes and pots. There’s no microwave, but you don’t really need one. The bed was comfortable even for taller people. A few things took away from the stay: some windows don’t close well, the frames were dirty, and Wi-Fi reception was only so-so, though still usable. Parking is available at the building, with a maximum of 7 spaces.

Dear Ellerich family, we felt completely at home and had a wonderful time with you. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming. We really hope the storm didn’t cause you any harm. Best wishes, Inga and Volker Maiwald

Just a few meters away there’s a charming little hotel for when you don’t want to cook. The holiday apartment itself is lovely, right by the forest, and really good value for money.
