The location is fantastic, just a couple hundred meters from Kaiserslautern Hauptbahnhof, and you can’t hear anything from the room. The hotel feels like a lovely little family business. My room was clean, new, warm, and big enough, and I loved the hard, extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast costs extra, 8.5 euros, and needs to be booked separately. It isn’t a standard buffet. The polite lady who owns the hotel will happily make coffee or tea and serve it with eggs, cheese, and ham on a plate. I was completely satisfied and will definitely come back. Totally recommend it.

There’s no luxury or extra frills here, but the owner makes you feel welcome and does a wonderful job. The rooms are kept immaculately clean, and her breakfasts are fantastic. Astra is a very nice, simple little hotel.

The main drawback was the road noise. My room looked onto a busy road with lots of traffic and the occasional emergency vehicle late at night. Otherwise, it’s a quaint, clean, convenient place, about 10-15 minutes on foot from downtown and two minutes from the train station. The area’s military bases are easy to reach too. Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, and the host is super friendly and speaks perfect English.

The owners are very friendly with guests and keep the hotel extremely well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom is well equipped. The owner served breakfast with fresh, quality food. It’s also well located and easy to reach from the train station. Thanks!

The reception was wonderful, and the location is great. My room was small but modern. I got to know the woman who owns the hotel quite personally. She told me her life story and how she built the place into what it is today. What a wonderful, strong woman.
