The people running this place are just the loveliest, so warm and welcoming. It’s a charming old-school hotel, and they take sustainability seriously. Breakfast is generous and organic, too. Five stars barely covers it. If I’m ever back this way, I’ll stay here again.

We stayed three days and really loved the place. The family who runs it is so friendly that we’ll probably come back next time we’re nearby. Our room had a new bathroom and a big sleeping area, and it looked just like the pictures. I told my husband it felt like staying in a fancy hotel from the 1920s. If you’re after a hotel with its own atmosphere, this is a lovely choice :)

The food and wine tasting were both a hit, and the whole visit felt like an experience you shouldn’t miss if you’re romantic at heart. The restaurant is a cute little fantasy world, with mermaids, ships, an anchor and steering wheel, lovely wood carvings, and even seats inside an old wine barrel.

The homemade bread was so good we took some along for lunch, which made it twice as nice. Thanks to the owners for opening up just for us while we were hiking the "Rheinsteig". The rooms were quiet and very comfortable, and we had a great chat with Matthias (hope that is correct), who suggested some good viewpoints for hikes nearby. Definitely visit this hotel, it’s a blast!

The restaurant has beautiful decor with a 1930s feel, and breakfast was great too. The innkeepers were the best, really friendly and even bringing us tea in the afternoons. Would stay again if we’re in the area!
