We spent the whole afternoon there because the view was spectacular. The meal was good, though the fries were a bit hard and oily, and the ice cream was delicious. Staff were friendly, but service was a little slow. The restrooms weren’t very sanitary.

I really didn’t want to leave. The hotel’s location works its magic, though there were a couple of things that could be improved. The pillows made it hard to sleep, and you can hear everything happening in the corridor. We didn’t hear noise from other rooms, though, and that was cool. The town has lots of restaurants and cafes, plus two supermarkets, and it’s easy to get around without a car. The train station is five minutes away. You can pay for the room by card, but the restaurant takes cash only. That seems to be the case at pretty much all the restaurants in the region, even though it’s so busy with tourists.

We got to the restaurant just after closing and asked for ice cream. The waiter was really nice and waited while my two little kids chose their flavors, then took our order.

This is just about the restaurant. The food was decent, prices were fair, and service was quick. It was annoying that they didn’t tell us up front that payment is cash only, especially in 2023 when not everyone carries cash.
