The garden had some of the biggest rats I’ve ever seen, and that was only part of a truly awful stay. I arrived alone at midnight and had checked through Booking.com that someone would be there to check me in late. But reception was empty. After looking around, I found a night entrance with three keyboxes, and none had been used for my reservation. I kept trying to reach the hotel by phone and text, and even pleaded at the entrance for someone to let me in. No one responded. Booking.com support didn’t help either, and I was left alone with nowhere to go in the middle of the night. I can’t understand why anyone would run a hotel while showing so little care for guests’ safety and well-being. The rats seemed friendlier than the staff.

The room was clean, but there were no blinds in room 19, so the morning sun came in at 5 am. Breakfast was understaffed, though the breakfast room itself was beautiful. It’s an interesting old building, but the hotel smells of old cigarette smoke and needs an overhaul.

Customer service was very poor.

The place is old, and in the evening it’s fully closed with no backup.

Possibly the dirtiest hotel you could find in Kamp lintford.
