Hotel zur Pfalz

We had the “comfort zimmer,” and it was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient, and breakfast had plenty of choice and very good quality food. This rustic hotel has what you need for a comfortable night while traveling through Germany. Free private parking made it a 5 star experience for us.

The outdoor pool and green area were fantastic, and the facilities, surroundings, and prices are hard to beat compared with other hotels. We had the honor of meeting one of the three Koch brothers, the owners. As someone who travels a lot for business, I can say I have rarely experienced such friendly, attentive service toward guests. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for everything, and continued success to the Koch family. Keep up the good work! family. Dipl.-Ing. (TU) Secosan

We hadn't planned to stay at the hotel, just eat at the Koch family restaurant, which we stumbled on while searching for another place. What a great find. My venison and my wife's pork medallions were both excellent, and so was the service. We were very happy.

The friendly staff made our visit pleasant, with great attention to detail. After a long drive, we found this lovely hotel in Kandel, birthplace of the famous cyclist Pascal Ackermann. A friendly lady welcomed us and offered a deluxe room with breakfast at a nice price. Upstairs, our large room had a king-size bed, a single bed, a small walk-in closet, and a big bathroom. There was also a balcony overlooking greenery, with flowers and trees everywhere. We were advised to have dinner at the very nice Greek restaurant Sto Castello (read my review about it). In the morning, we had a small buffet breakfast at the restaurant, with good quality overall. If you're traveling to Switzerland or Italy, stay here and enjoy German hospitality :)
