For a quick night, the hotel is a cheap and convenient option right by the station. The catch with the very low-priced rooms for four or six is that your stay depends a lot on your roommates. You might end up with people coming in during the night, staying up with bright devices, snoring, or making unpleasant smells. A private room is available, but the price goes up quite a bit. It can feel like a gamble between a decent deal and one of the worst hotel experiences you have. Good luck with this Hotel!

The staff were kind, and breakfast was OK. Beds are passable for a night or two. The room was cheap, but it could go either way: mine had a heater that didn't work, and some lights weren't working properly. You might get a perfectly fine room instead.

The rooms and beds were nice, and the bathrooms were good, but at night wind came through the closed windows and gave us quite a headache. Most rooms are for six. We booked for five and were charged for a sixth person so our group could have the room to ourselves, even though we hadn't asked for that. Apparently you need to say you're willing to share with a stranger, if somebody books alone, to avoid that extra charge. It costs about 20€ per person, plus 3€ for bed sheets. You can't book without sheets unless you have a sleeping bag. The staff were grumpy and unprofessional too. They spoke on the phone about sorting out our problem and called us annoying for not wanting to pay for another person. They thought none of us spoke German, but we did.

The Wi-Fi was the slowest I've experienced, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Karlsruhe. Our room had no wardrobe. When we reported it, staff said that's just how the room is and we'd have to manage. We asked to move to one with a wardrobe and were told every room was occupied, but we saw new rooms being given to arriving guests. Really bad all around.
