ALLVITALIS Traumhotel

The place is run by great people, costs little, and sits in an excellent neighborhood. Give yourself at least a night to wander around, because there’s a lot to see. The hotel is a sprawling maze, and every room is different, with restaurants and bars both indoors and outside. There’s strange, inspiring art everywhere, including a huge half-finished smiling head that’s apparently going to become another hotel room. It’s fun, crazy, amazing, and wildly creative, almost impossible to describe. It does feel a bit run down, though. There’s no air conditioning, so you have to leave the windows open, and noise from the entertainment areas can go on until 3 am (!!!). It feels like someone had big dreams without quite enough budget.

The Biergarten has good beer and food, which helps make up for the rooms needing more amenities. Some parts look a little run-down, but it’s a quirky, cosy place.

I've stayed here more than once, and it's always nice. The rooms are super, and the service is good, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend it, especially for single parents with kids.
