Premier Inn Karlsruhe City Am Wasserturm

Clean, modern, comfortable rooms, a very good bed, and a quiet hotel overall. Everything felt secure and well maintained. It was much better than other, more expensive hotels nearby. Excellent stay and great value for money. I’d highly recommend it and stay again.

The hotel is conveniently near the train station, tram, and bus stops, and walking to the city center was no problem. My four-day stay was okay, though I think this kind of hotel works better for a short visit of no more than two nights. The coffee was good and the pretzels were warm, but breakfast was basic, with a very narrow selection for almost 18€, which felt overpriced. I also want to thank the long brown haired cleaning lady in the dining area. I don’t know her name, but she was kind to me and my daughter and even remembered our room number. Thank you, nice lady! The rooms could be better maintained. The rugs and walls were very stained, so I didn’t walk barefoot. There was no safe or mini fridge. I was especially disappointed by the wardrobe, which had almost no room for our things. I was there with my daughter for a few days, and we had to keep our belongings in suitcases under the bed. There was just one shelve and only a few hangers.

The rooms are nice and everything else is great, but room cleaning requests don’t seem to be taken seriously. I asked at reception before midday for cleaning two days in a row and it wasn’t done at all. I’ve stayed here before and the same thing happened when I requested a cleaning. When you’re staying for several days, getting the room cleaned doesn’t seem like too much to ask.

The room was clean and modern, and the hotel felt new and well maintained. But the EV charging service overshadowed the stay. We chose this place specifically because it advertised EV charging, yet the receptionist didn’t know much about it and gave us wrong directions. We ended up searching around the neighborhood for alternatives, which wasted time and added stress after a long journey. Eventually we tried the hotel charger ourselves, and it worked perfectly. Staff not knowing how to direct us turned what should have been a simple service into a distressing experience.
