SEEGER Living Comfort Downtown

This was my best stay in Karlsruhe across roughly 12 visits over the last few years. For the same price as local hotels, I got a kitchen and a proper studio with a bedroom, living area and couch, which made it much better. I had a payment issue after leaving, and the staff were patient while helping sort it out.

We could settle in as if at home, thanks to the private kitchen with the appliances and utensils we needed, and a supermarket only 50 meters away. The renovation was completely new, well done and tasteful. The hotel is five minutes from the centre and a 30-minute walk from the train station. Our windows faced the courtyard, which was so quiet and cosy we could leave them open for fresh air. The only problem was one very noisy blanket. My wife and I kept waking whenever it rustled as either of us turned over at night.

We loved the apartment from the moment we checked in easily. There's plenty of space, views and a kitchen, with lots of restaurants and shops downstairs, though we haven't had time to try them all. It takes about five minutes to reach the centre of Karlsruhe, and the apartment is easy to get to. The WiFi was great and it had a nice home feel. The tram routes nearby are useful, with S2345 all passing by, but noise gets into the rooms when the windows are open at night, especially in summer. Some tableware, like wooden spoons, may be missing, so it would be nice if staff made sure each room had a more equal selection. A few basic cleaning tools would help too. Even with those points, we'd definitely come back.

I stayed for a few days or weeks, and the apartment was lovely, with nice decorations and a practical kitchen. Whenever anything came up, they were incredibly helpful and replied very quickly by email. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Karlsruhe.
