The best part was eating outside by the river and watching cyclists, boaters, and birds. The hot breakfast each morning cost €14.50 and included eggs, sausages, bacon, rolls, juices, coffee, and more, all with a river view. Our grandson loved both playgrounds and the heated pool. We were an extended family of six, two seniors, three in their 30s and early 40s, and one five-year-old, and stayed three nights in June 2025. The hotel is a little old, but quaint and clean, in a magical spot on the Fulde River in Kassel. We all noticed how incredibly clean and sweet the air smelled when we first arrived. We’d all love to come back if we can!

The internet, as shown in the picture, was completely unusable. Staff seemed poorly trained, and the hotel itself felt rather worn-down and rustic. The restaurant food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality. Breakfast was acceptable for the price, but the coffee was undrinkable.

I spent 12 October here to recover from stress, and it was wonderful. The sauna and swimming pool were great, the staff were friendly, and the meals were delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We stopped here for a night on the way to Hamburg and thought it was good value. Breakfast had all the usual options, and we had no complaints. The room was clean, with a bedroom and small sitting area separated by a sofa and table. The bathroom was fine, with nice hot water. Best of all was the Fulda River view from the balcony, a lovely spot to sit and take it in.

The breakfast was good, with cappuccino, café latte, and hot chocolate made to order. The hotel sits right by the river, though getting in and around it is difficult for people with disabilities.
