We’d happily stay again if the price was right. The tram into the centre is nearby, and parking is €5 a day, unless you get one of the few roadside spots. We came over Easter weekend, so the business hotel was almost empty, which felt strange in such a massive place, but at least there was never a wait. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms felt modern enough. An extra pillow would’ve helped, and a kettle with tea or coffee would be a nice touch. Breakfast was a buffet with continental and hot choices, plus omelettes made fresh if you wanted one. The design is pretty funny, like Golden Girls go corporate, but it gives the place some identity, unlike all those modern hotels with standard cheap furnishings.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a ceiling fan that helped in the hot, humid weather. Friendly service and a good price, and the location wasn’t too far from Documenta. The lobby decor is very tacky, though, and service was slow, or there just weren’t enough people at the front desk.

The room was spacious and super clean, and it’s a very nice hotel. But one of my neighbors banged on the wall and yelled at me for talking on the phone, not shouting, because he was probably trying to sleep. Hotel rooms should be hermetically closed once the door is shut.

It felt like something out of The Shining, bright and sparkling, but with hardly any guests. The restaurant was closed. The bar was open, though nobody was in there.

There’s a shopping center about 500 metres away, with a Burger King, and a fairly large car park across the street. Parking cost 5 € per day. The room was clean and spacious, and the reception staff were friendly. Breakfast was huge and cost 15 €, with a man making egg specialties on the spot. My room, Nr. 4110, had poor internet, so my VPN connection to company emails kept dropping from time to time. It faced the street and got a little noisy when I had to open the window because it was hot. There was no air conditioning in the room.
