The restaurant was okay, but nothing especially memorable, and the prices felt far too high for the quality. The dessert was the biggest letdown: the menu described a mango bowl sorbet with coconut and basil, but I got diced mango and a chocolate-covered, packaged ice cream bar on a stick for €14. It felt misleading and wasn't what the menu led me to expect. There weren't any other places to eat nearby at the time, so I didn't have much choice. Otherwise, I would've gone somewhere else. Thanks for replying to my comment. I think there's some confusion about the menu, though. The menu I first saw is still on your website, and it lists a Mango Bowl with sorbet. We wanted one night away from the city atmosphere, and this was a great choice. The room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were always smiling, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is near Hercules Kassel, and just a two-minute walk outside gives you lovely views, fresh air, and a beautiful green area. Definitely recommended.

I liked the sauna and spa area. It's a cute space with tea, snacks, and different places to lounge and read. The food was good too, but I wished there were a market nearby and somewhere to store food in my room, so I didn't have to eat out for every meal. The hotel is away from the city, which suited me because it was quiet, and the view was great. There's not much around, so getting into town means taking a taxi, though there's a bus down the street. My room had no refrigerator, and I misunderstood the website as saying there was laundry service, but the hotel doesn't offer laundry at all. I was visiting during a quiet period, yet I could hear hallway conversations very clearly. I imagine it could get noisy when busier, so bring earplugs. Those little things around food storage and getting around do affect a trip, but I didn't mind the stay overall.

The spa and pools are great, with both indoor and outdoor options, and breakfast was really good. Dinner felt lacking for the price, though service was mostly good. The rooms are on the small side and basic, but the hotel is lovely and nicely set in the park. Getting there takes a bit of an uphill walk from the tram, or you can take a taxi from town. There's a nice beer garden on weekends. In summer, you can hike up to see the waterfalls on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They're only switched on for about 10 minutes, so get there on time. I'd come back and recommend it.
