The breakfast was amazing, and we’ll be back. We spent three nights here with a coach group, and the staff were helpful and accommodating throughout. The food was fabulous, the beer was good, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was very, very clean, and the traditional dining room is beautiful. It’s a basic hotel, as advertised, and you get what you pay for. I saw a one-star review here, but I wouldn’t put much stock in it. If something’s wrong, speak to the staff first and give them a chance to sort it out. There’s a small supermarket about 150 metres away, and a bakery around the corner that opens Sundays from 7 to 11. Thanks to all the staff.

The restaurant food was good, but getting around from this hotel is inconvenient if you don't have a car. There aren't any attractions within walking distance. Some rooms are very small, and the bed is small too. I also found the pillow uncomfortable.

Breakfast was good, and the few Christmas decorations made the place quite nice. The first night was okay. Our twin room was very small, but we were only there for the weekend, so I was happy 😊

We stopped here for lunch during a coach tour. There was plenty of good food, service was quick, and the men's toilet was clean and amusing. You'll have to visit to see what I mean! The interior is interesting and the hotel is lovely. It seems set up for coach groups, so I can't say from experience what a private visit would be like, though I don't see why it wouldn't be just as good.

We were recommended this place for lunch on our coach trip, and the portions were really generous. The food was delicious, the beer was fairly priced, and I’d definitely recommend the homemade brandy.
