The breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge variety for different tastes, nationalities and dietary restrictions. There was bread, cheese, cold cuts, jams, eggs, meatballs, juice, cereal and hot drinks from a machine, including delicious chocolate, available to guests until 21.30. The room was enormous, with a big bed, sofa and coffee table, desk, high breakfast table with two stools, and a full kitchen with a cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave, sink and extractor. A huge window filled it with daylight, while dark curtains kept it dark enough to sleep. The bathroom had a comfortable shower, toilet and a large basin beneath a big mirror. We chose Airporthotel Residenz Stuttgart Steinenbronn because relatives live five minutes away on foot, and honestly didn't expect such good service. Martin, Katryn and all the breakfast staff were brilliant, kind and helpful. They gave us transport and sightseeing advice and were always available when we needed help. That made the stay feel perfect. It's about 35 minutes by bus from the city centre and 20 minutes by bus from the airport, but we found it well worth the trip. Great comfort, quality and service for the price, and I'd definitely recommend it for a visit to Stuttgart.

The convenient location helped make my two-week holiday stay pleasant, though several things could be better. The fridge wasn't cold enough: my carrots and celery went bad after two days. Wi-Fi was slow, which made working or streaming frustrating, and the TV had very few English channels or translations. There's also a lot of plane noise early in the morning because the hotel is near the airport, so it may bother anyone seeking quiet. Housekeeping was minimal, and during a longer stay you may need to clean yourself to keep unpleasant smells away. If you don't mind some self-maintenance and occasional noise, it's a decent place.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly. The hotel sits directly in line with Stuttgart Airport's main runway, so unless you're getting up before 6 AM, there's no need to request a wake-up call.

We each had a separate room with a small kitchen, and the rooms themselves were nice, cozy and warm. But my colleagues and I stayed for two full weeks for work, and room service came only once a week. Anything extra cost money, which felt ridiculous and impractical for a room at around 100 euros a night. We had to buy our own toilet paper because hotel policy provides just two rolls a week. I ended up buying a pack of 12. There was only one rubbish bag per week, so the bin filled up and we had to be careful about what and how much we cooked. I refused to buy extra bags on principle. The free Wi-Fi allowance was only 500 MB per week. We also had to buy our own washing-up sponge and detergent for the kitchenette they promote so much. Towels weren't changed for a full week, either. The hotel has a laundry room for 4 euros, but there's just one washing machine for all the guests. Even after booking it two days ahead, the receptionist wouldn't let me use it. Somehow, when she realized I wasn't Ukrainian, the laundry room suddenly became available again. Maybe this is fine for one or two nights, but for a longer stay, having to buy my own bathroom toilet paper was too much.
