Hotel Burg-Klause

Really nice hotel, with good food and friendly staff. The spa being included was a nice extra, and it’s pet friendly. Booking.com hadn’t mentioned that we needed to request a dog-friendly room, but the lady was kind enough to switch us to one. Worth a visit if you get the chance.

We were already happy with the colors and style of our standard double room, so we added another night. The hotel was spotless everywhere, from the bathrooms to the restaurant. It’s family friendly, with calm colors and a friendly, helpful team who made the stay pleasant. Breakfast had lots of food and felt special. The restaurant was a highlight too. I loved the tuna tartare with fresh mango and cucumber, one of the best I’ve had, and the beef carpaccio. The fish and Black Angus were extraordinary. The sauna facilities were very clean and professional. We were unlucky that the masseur was sick, but it wasn’t a big deal. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back.

The restaurant food was good, though a bit pricey, and the staff were mostly friendly. There are two saunas but no pool. What bothered us was the cigarette smell in our room throughout the stay. There’s a smoking area right outside our room, and guests in other rooms smoked in their own areas too. I expected more thought in the layout or room assignment. It was alright, but I expected more and wouldn’t choose this place again.

We needed a place open around the clock, and this hotel delivered. The service was excellent, the staff were super friendly, and the rooms were large and very clean. It’s a cozy, funky place with a good breakfast.
