We had a lovely few days at Pension Walmeer. The beach is just a short walk away, and there's parking available. My room was cozy and had all the amenities, the hosts were super friendly, and breakfast was excellent with everything you could want. I was also able to store my e-bike safely in the shed.

Dear Pension Walmeer Team, my well-intentioned 3-star review from summer 2025 has disappeared, along with other 1-star reviews. I hadn't realized Google simply deletes all reviews rated from 1 to 3 stars, as can be seen at other guesthouses and hotels. Every owner handles things their own way. In any case, best of luck!

The old building has a charming creak to it, which we didn't mind at all. Our room had no carpet, which we felt was better for hygiene, and cleanliness seemed to matter throughout the guesthouse. The place has a timeless feel, with lots of thoughtful touches in the decor and furnishings. The couple running it were friendly and welcoming, and clearly value getting to know their guests. Breakfast was good too.
