Boutique-Hotel Bayerischer Hof

The garden was a lovely place to have snacks and drinks, with colourful trees in spring. It’s a beer harden beside a river, near the city centre and main road, and the ambience was really pleasing. We had snacks outside, then dinner in the cosy, clean restaurant. We ordered the famous seafood platter with a variety of fish, lobsters, and vegetarian snacks. I also had dorada fish and the famous Greek zucchini balls, and both were quite delicious. Service was prompt, and the staff were warm. The only drawback was the limited choice of non-alcoholic drinks.

The room was good, though the shower was a bit small and being on the attic floor meant you couldn’t stand properly. Otherwise, a great hotel. It’s well located near the center and easy to reach by car. Breakfast was organized well, offered plenty of choice, and was typically German, which suits this kind of hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and enormous, and the property felt warm, welcoming, and extremely clean. Service was very good, too. The area is quiet, though it’s not close to the train station, so the walk there was quite long. That was the only downside.

I’m here on a business cation, and I’d recommend this hotel for work trips as well as holidays. The service was great. My mini fridge wasn’t cooling drinks enough, so they let me use their own fridge until the repairman could check it. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, but the place is well insulated and there’s an expensive, good-quality Dyson ventilator in the room. The location is amazing, with plenty of different restaurants and shops in town. Drive 30 km farther south and you reach the big mountains, which I think are gorgeous and aesthetic.
