Sleep in Lerbach

We used the place for an overnight stop since it sits right along our route to our holiday. Bringing our pets was a real plus: we had two adults, one child, two dogs, and a ferret, and the total was €60. I slept well. There’s free internet, and the accommodation has a bathroom, hallway, kitchen, living room, and bedroom. You’ll need to get your own food from the shop.

At €50 a night it was cheap, but that doesn’t make a dirty apartment okay. The fridge and coffee maker were particularly dirty, as the photos show. The shower head has to be held by hand. And the noise upstairs went on from the evening until 3 a.m. There were footsteps back and forth across the room, so it was impossible to sleep. The walking around the apartment, possibly by the owner, only stopped after 3.

There was a lot of noise in the apartment, and I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it. I’d rather pay a bit more next time. It’s a decent size, but the furniture is very old and some of it is damaged. The door is broken, the shower head leaks, and the kitchen chairs wobble badly. Cleanliness was also poor: hair in the shower drain, a dirty toilet, grease marks in the kitchen, a heavily scaled kettle, and cobwebs everywhere.

I did manage to sleep well, which is why I’m giving two stars. But the house smelled strongly of smoke. I tried covering it with a strong spray and left the windows open all night, yet the kitchen still smelled awful. The shower only had hot water for about two minutes.
