The kitchen had enough supplies and dishes, and the cooktop, oven and dishwasher made quick meals easy. The shared upper deck was lovely for cool evenings or quiet mornings. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and private, with thick walls, and we felt very safe there. It’s conveniently close to the town center, with several parking options and plenty of high-quality restaurants and stores nearby. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We’re looking forward to coming back to Kempten, and thank you for such a great experience.

For 100 euros, putting two small beds on wheels next to each other doesn’t really make a double room. They kept rolling apart at night. The bathroom was very small, and there was no dishwashing liquid for the sink in the apartment. This place charges what you’d pay for a hotel in central Munich, even though Kempten is just a small village, and breakfast isn’t included. It costs 7 euros extra. Before leaving, we checked under the bed in case we’d left anything behind and found a lot of dust. It seems they only do surface cleaning.

The homemade cherry jam was delicious, and the breakfast buffet had the standard German options. Service was super, and the place was cozy. St. Lorenz Basilika was a five-minute walk away. We also took a 15-minute walk through the lanes behind the guest house, which was beautiful for seeing the old architecture.

Don’t come here. Breakfast is really bad, and it’s always missing cheese and coffee. We cleaned the room before leaving, washed the dishes and took out the garbage, but because we hadn’t dried the dishes, they made me dry them and put them in the cupboard. That still wasn’t enough. There’s no parking for the car, either. It was very rude.
