Waldhorn

At breakfast, a staff member came over while I was with my wife and child and asked if we really planned to eat the four pieces of fruit we'd taken. Unbelievable. The room cost €150 a night, yet there wasn't even soap or shower gel. This felt more like a hostel than a 3-star hotel. A complete disaster.

They have a big restaurant with great food, and breakfast can be buffet style. There's plenty of parking around the hotel, plus locked underground parking for an extra charge. I arrived on my motorcycle in heavy rain, and the friendly staff put all my wet things in their drying room for the next day. Some of them spoke English. My single room was a bit small, and there were noises from the wall and ceiling, possibly plumbing. Clean, bright, comfortable and friendly.

Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both great. The hotel is in a relaxed spot, a little way off the Autobahn. Two cars can charge using ChargePoint, and there's a garage, though the charging stations are outside. Our family room had no air conditioning.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Our young child got colouring pencils at dinner, and the little play area near reception came in handy. We had booked a two-bed room next to a three-bed room for one night, at short notice, to make a weekend of skiing in the Allgäu area easier. The hotels closer to the ski fields were either full or too expensive, and I thought this place was excellent value. We were very happy with the stay. We didn't try the sauna area, but will next time.
