The food was good, but the hostess on the ground floor wasn't helpful.

The lunch special was a generous portion of white sausages with salad and a pretzel, and it tasted amazing. I also loved the pumpkin soup, which came with a tasty shrimp roll. I'll definitely return. Update: Sadly, we came back for lunch after I posted this, and the service was practically nonexistent. I know service in Europe isn't like it is in North America, and tipping isn't the norm, but the way we were treated made me feel almost invisible. I hope they improve. I'm sad to lower the service rating from 4 stars to 1.

We were traveling from Belgium to Austria and stopped without a reservation, close to Christmas. They were kind to us, and the team was very friendly. The food was fantastic, like homemade, and I'd really recommend it. It's also close to highway 4.

I especially like heading to the Schänke for a delicious Currywurst with French Fries and a good Kölsch. This place brings together a modern setting and a traditional German “Kneipe,” which is what the “Schänke” is here. I'd definitely recommend it!
