I'm Indian and don't often enjoy German food because it usually doesn't taste very delicious to me. This restaurant's food, though, was super delicious, the best German food. The portions were big, and the prices very reasonable: fries, salad and schnitzel for 9.90 euro. A five-star restaurant.

It seems this restaurant and hotel may be closed, or possibly no longer operating. It's a shame, given its lovely central location.

A lovely old-style hotel, very peaceful, with friendly staff.

The wild hare leg was a real treat, served with juniper sauce, potato dumplings and creamed savoy cabbage. Simply delicious. Before that, the oxtail claret warmed us up on a foggy, dreary evening. Another excellent dinner, with an imaginative but concise menu that was a welcome change from the usual boring choices. Thanks to the kitchen crew and the attentive, professional service. I highly recommend trying the excellent wild hare leg before it leaves the menu.
