Landhotel Baumanns Hof

The quiet setting immersed in nature was about the only upside for me. This place feels overrated for what you pay, and it wasn’t very welcoming for English speakers. The WiFi was poor, so I had to use my phone hotspot for a work call. My room smelled of dog, and there were spiders. It seems they may not keep animal rooms separate, though luckily I’m not allergic, and the cleaning overall could be better. Breakfast was a frustrating experience. There’s no buffet, and the table gets loaded with things you won’t eat, which feels wasteful. The waiter kept interrupting to show items on a tray, and if you’re trying to eat quickly, you have to wait for the specific tray you need. At dinner I asked for a simple meal because of dietary needs, chicken with rice and vegetables. They charged me 29€ for two plain chicken pieces, 5€ for a few spoonfuls of white boiled rice, and 6€ for the vegetables, which was the only reasonable price. If you have intolerances or dietary issues, avoid this place unless you’re willing to spend twice as much. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I haven’t really had a chance to explore the area, so I can only give the location 3/5. The rooms are great and clean, and the service has been fantastic while I’ve stayed here for work nearby. Everyone’s friendly and willing to help, even when I try out my terrible German. Otherwise, it’s 5/5!

The peaceful surroundings, lovely nature, and top-class horses make this a wonderful place to rest. We spent a few nights at Landhotel Baumanns Hof and are very grateful for the stay. The food was excellent, and everything was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. Great places are made by great people, and this magical spot has plenty of other advantages too. I can highly recommend Landhotel Baumanns Hof. Thank you, we’re looking forward to coming back. Best wishes, Marita, Grzegorz and Tajga :)

I spend at least six months a year in different hotels because of my work, and this place is a gem. The restaurant is AWESOME, the beef is delicious, the service is incredibly nice, and the rooms are very comfortable. From the moment you walk in, there’s kindness, smiles, and warmth. I’m delighted. Take your wife for the weekend, or your husband for dinner. If things get bad, I’ll buy you a beer ;)
